Wolfgang Jellinghaus, a master guitar maker, has been building classical guitars since the age of fourteen. Born in 1951 in Dortmund, Germany, as the son of a guitar maker, he grew up surrounded by guitars, developing a profound passion and expertise for the instrument. For several years now, Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been living and working in China, where he crafts handmade guitars of astonishing quality in a small workshop.

This impressive replica by Wolfgang Jellinghaus showcases remarkable qualities. Inspired by the famous 1912 Manuel-Ramirez guitar of Andrés Segovia, it faithfully reproduces the original design and delivers an exceptional sound. The guitar produces an impressive volume with a crisp and structured tonal character, suitable for both concert halls and more intimate settings. As with all top models by Wolfgang Jellinghaus, this guitar is fully polished with shellac and constructed using premium solid woods.

The Segovia 1912 model features spectacular flamed maple for the back and sides, finished with a shellac polish. This results in a lightweight guitar that is exceptionally refined and charming in sound. The tone is remarkably rich and warm. Combined with its very comfortable playability, this Jellinghaus guitar stands out as an extraordinary instrument in its price range.
